Viscosity is the toughness of a liquid, e.g. of caustic soda. High viscosity means thickness, in contrast to low viscosity which means fluidity.
Thin = low viscous; small numercial value
Thick = high viscous; large numerical value
Examples:
Water = 1 mPas
Thick oil = approx. 2,000 mPas
Glycerin (pure) = 1,480 mPas
Olive oil = approx. 100 mPas
Honey = 10,000 mPas
If you want to dose liquids with a viscosity > 3,000 mPas, more parameters for the selection of the pump are essential. Feel free to contact us.
